Copper Pictures

Its unbelievable that summer is almost over. We still have a couple things to cross off our list, but they are planned for the next month. We have had such a great time as a family this summer.

Sellar Lake

Despite the forecast for rain we headed out for one more camping trip up and over Hagerman Pass. We ended up at Sellar Lake. It was quiet and peaceful. We did some hiking and fishing, no luck fishing, but I didn't see a single fish in that lake.

Another Day at Copper

We had another great day at Copper this week. Granola even tried the bungee trampoline, and had a great time. Here is just a quick tease of more photos to come from Copper and our last camping trip this week.

Here is our new favorite spot for so many reasons. From feeding fish to hiking, picnicking, swinging, and bike rides.

Steamboat and Happy 30th!

We had a great time in Steamboat for Mom's 30th birthday. We were able to go to the alpine slides, hot springs, Fish Creek Falls, shop downtown, and swim at the hotel at all hours amongst many other things. Happy Birthday Mom! A bit late on the blog.

Campout

The last two camp outs we got rained on. That was our month of July, if you wanted to do anything outdoors you were going to get rained on. This time we were up on Shrine Pass, behind Vail. We took a nice bike ride down to Red Cliff and had a wet and long 6 mile up hill ride back to camp, I would guess at least 15oo ft up. Granola has really been enjoying staying up late, roasting marshmallows, hiking, and fishing while out camping.

Camping & Fishing

Camping has been great this summer. We've gotten three trips in with one more planned before summers end. This was up on the east side of Weston Pass.

Picnic

Our new favorite spot is the local fish hatchery. There are numerous hiking trails and a small park for picnics. Granola is really becoming a great trail runner. She just will not slow down, sometimes running a quarter to half a mile. We have hiked a mile loop and also a 2.5 mile loop. She finally is comfortable on the big kid swing also.
