Going Fishing

We had a great time fishing with Grandpa Jim and Uncle Dave. Everyone caught some sunfish, and even some bass. Mom claimed that this was the first fish she ever caught. Granola even was able to reel in some sunfish. She had so much fun and had to pet every fish we landed.
Her first fish ever, sunfish.
She even caught the biggest bass of the day.

Showing Grandpa were the fish are.

Cows

Grandpa Jim took Granola to see the cows/calves on two different occasions. She sure loves cows, and petting them.

Down on the Farm

After hanging out with the cows she was able to get some tractor time with Grandpa Jim and Aunt Julie.

Fall Hikes

Just to mix it up a bit, here are some pics from a recent hike at Turquoise Lake. The colors have been very bright and vibrant this season, and the hikes through have been amazing.

BFF

Granola was super excited to see her best friend Mattie this vacation. I think there was only 1 day they didn't get to hang out. They played a lot outside, jumped a lot on the spare bed and ran all over the house as loud as can be. There was one evening that we were treated to Rhino rides around the Deusenbery's property. That was super fun.

Family Time

Picking pears with her cousin.
Crashed out after another long day.
Right in the middle of it all.
Getting her backed rubbed again by Gram.
Thanks for all the hats and sweater Aunt Nancy.
Playing squirt guns with Grandpa Jim.

New York

Our trip back home was all about spending time with family and friends. It was very nice to see everyone and for Granola to have cousins to play with again. Granola was spoiled by everyone and was nice enough to give everybody some quality one on one time, which was really great.

Detroit Airport

We ended up sitting around Detroit airport for almost 8 hours! It was a bit ridiculous, but mom stepped up and kept Granola occupied, fed and entertained the entire time. I would say they covered the entire airport at least twice and even found some toys to play on. It was a rough day but could have been a lot worse if the babe wasn't so good.

Wow, That's a lot of Pictures

So with the trips to NY, the zoo and back to GJ we have over 1200 pictures to go through. Here is a picture of Granola being silly at home. I've got a couple blogs done, but a lot more to go, so please be patient as this could take a little time.

Trip Back To NY

Out trip back started with a night in Denver. An early flight out to Detroit and a quick flight to Rochester and we would be there, if only it went that smoothly. With a late departure out of Denver and Dad getting some motion sickness on the flight we missed our connection to Rochester. With the help of some fine Delta employees we were able to then again miss the next connection, but were fortunate enough to catch the 10 o'clock flight.
Ready to go to NY, the night before.

Enjoying some on board entertainment thanks to mom's iPad.

NY Preview

The trip started off well in Denver and took a turn for the worse in Detroit. We were there for over 8 hours thanks to Delta. Once we were in NY everything went smooth. Lots of time with family and friends that was greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures to show some of the good times. More blogs coming next week, hopefully.
