Learning How to Ride
Granola is starting to learn how to stop herself and turn on her snowboard this season. I have a feeling she will have it by the end of the March.

Playing in the Snow
It has been a dry winter so far. Granola is making due with what little snow we've gotten. She was jumping on the tramp face first in the snow, kind of funny.

Opening Day 2012
Granola had fun at Copper Mountain's opening day this year. She took 3 runs over at the magic carpet and even took a long run off the Eagle lift. She finished the day off by throwing ice around at the pond where she boats in the summer.

Happy Halloween
Granola was a Unicorn this year, she had a great time at her school party and enjoyed trick or treating. She carved her own pumpkin, which turned out really well.

Air Boat Tour
Day 3 included a drive down to Everglade City for an Airboat tour. It was so much fun. Everybody had a great time. We saw an alligator, raccoons, crabs, and many birds. Granola had some alligator and shrimp for lunch, both firsts.

This boat sailed across the Atlantic.
Pelicans came aboard for a snack.

Sanibel
Granola woke up sick our second day. She took a short nap and was ready for a day at Sanibel Island. It was a mellow day of sight seeing, shopping and eating ice cream.
Enjoying the ride over the bridge to Sanibel
Swinging at a park on Sanibel.
Parking lot at shopping center.
Example of a bridge we drove over.
Someone is learning how to swim!

The Beach
Our first full day in Ft Myers we headed to Lovers Key State Park for some beach fun. Granola absolutely loved it. From making sand castles to finding numerous shells, she loved it all. Except maybe salt water in the eyes.

Ft. Myers
We were fortunate enough to be able to travel to Ft. Myers to visit Aunt Nancy this past week. We had an amazing time, and Granola was able to experience a lot of new things, from the beach to trying deep fried alligator. Thanks so much for everything Aunt Nancy.

Happy Easter
We spent Easter down at Copper Mountain again this year. Granola did great at the egg hunt and we just relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine. Mom had to work in the afternoon, so we spent the rest of the day celebrating at home.
Getting excited to go egg hunting.

Spring Break - The Dunes
For Granola's spring break we headed to Monarch Mountain and then off to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. She got some skiing in with mom at Monarch, swimming at the hotel in Alamosa and hiked to the top of the Sand Dunes.
A look at the Dunes and how high we hiked.
She loved being able to hike bare foot, even through the snowy sections.
