Picnics

Granola has really been enjoying picnics this summer. We've had them at the park, on the porch, and most recently in her playhouse.

Movie Star

Ok, so I'm noticing I'm a few hundred pictures behind. We'll see how much I can catch up, it may be scattered over the next few days. Here are a few pics of Granola being a "movie star."

Boom Days

We headed downtown Saturday and Sunday for some Boom Days activities. Granola's favorite was the train ride even if the pictures show otherwise. She was also very excited to pet some burrows and llamas.
Thats Granola at the back. She even buckled her own seat belt.
Hmmmmm.

Fishin

The babe got her first fishing pole this summer. We've gotten out a couple times and she seems to enjoy it. These pictures are off the phone, so the quality may be lacking.

Stars

In an effort to stay up late enough to watch the meteor shower tonight, I will try to catch up on the blog. We'll see. Here's a couple shots of the new haircut. It's filled in since these pictures were taken.

What a Week

Wow, a bunch of firsts for the babe this past week. We started off the week bowling. Granola made it through 5 whole frames, not bad. She picked a spare for dad to help him with a career high 199.
Later that week we headed to Copper Mt. and rode the bumper boats. Granola loved being able to drive and squirt " water" the flowers around the pond. When she drove we just spun in circles.
To finish off the week we took Grandpa Ron for a ride on the Leadville train. We all had a great time. I will try to post pictures of all the fun the rest of this week. Until then here are some teasers.
Oh, mom gave the babe her first haircut, just to get the hair out of her face.

Camping

We decided to go camping at Hermit Pass this past week. It was our second go round this summer. The trip went great other than the fact Granola caught her friends "allergies" and slept poorly again. We will have a full night of sleep camping once this summer. Our spot was amazing with numerous small streams running through it that Granola could play in.

The falls were a 30 yd hike from our camp spot.

Wild flowers were abundant.

More Aunt Nancy

Saying good bye.
1st time drinking from a fountain.

1st real lift ride up Copper.

Aunt Nancy

The week with Aunt Nancy was a lot of fun, to say the least. We were able to see and do quit a bit.
Relaxing at Copper.
What happened here?
Visiting the old Boston Mine District.

A new hat to match the sweater, thanks Aunt Nancy.

More 4th

Granola really enjoyed the fireworks. I think she was pretty excited that we were able to watch them at the park. She was able to play until almost 10 that night.

Happy 4th!!

We hit up the local parade this morning. We blinked and missed it. Granola did enjoy it and then we went to the park to play with some random kids. Fun day so far, we hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July!!!

This little girl was 4 and almost shot Granola off she rocked so hard. Granola loved it.

Salida Art Walk

We headed down to Salida with Aunt Nancy to meet up with Grandma Dixie and Grandpa Ron for the Art walk this past weekend. Granola loved it. There were people on stilts that kind of scared her, but she shook hands with the very tall woman. She participated by contributing to a local painting celebrating the event. We even had time to swing by the local park for some swinging, of course.

Yikes

Granola woke up from a nap with some crazy hair the other day. Combing this mess out was fun.

1st Circus

Granola had a great time. She kept that upset look on her face the entire horse ride, but said she liked it afterward. She enjoyed the entire show and wanted to pet the tigers and lion.
