Spring Break - Skiing
Granola decided to end the season on her skis instead of her snowboard. She was able to get three runs in at Monarch on our way to Alamosa.
Skiing with mom.
An enclosed magic carpet, what?

Early Spring
With almost no snow in March we are headed towards an early spring, the first time since we moved here. Its been sunny and unseasonably warm a lot lately. Allowing us to get out on bike rides, hikes and even some spring skiing.

Merry Christmas
Better late than never. Here are some pictures from Copper Mountain late November. We watched Santa and Mrs. Claus in the snow cat parade, and then light the tree in center village. Granola had a great time even though it was bitter cold.

Granola decided she wanted the exercise, so she hiked instead of riding the magic carpet.

Opening Day at Copper
We all headed down to Copper opening day not really expecting to ride based on how Granola was the entire morning. Things turned around once we got to the mountain. She was polite and patient while we waited in line to get our passes, it was a warm wait. And when it was time to hit the slopes, she was ready. Granola took almost ten runs and wanted the "exercise", so she decided to hike up the hill instead of taking the magic carpet. She did really well, even had a couple falls, which were followed up by smiles. All around good opening day of the season for Granola on the hill. This year we're hoping to teach her how to turn and stop on her own.

Happy Halloween
We had a fun Halloween. Granola dressed up as Tigger, thanks Jeremiah. We headed to Trick or Treat St. in town and got some goodies, hit up a few houses in our neighborhood, and went home for a small get together with some of Granola's friends. They decorated pumpkins, cookies and ran around the house all sugared up.

Our Zoo Anniversary
We made sure we saw everything there was to see and do everything there was to do. We rode the train and the Merry Go Round. Granola absolutely loved everything and was in awe of every animal. It was really fun seeing her reactions to everything.

She chose the lion for the first ride.

An arm load of loot. Spoiled.
And she got a little rest on the drive home. After her nap she tore her penguin apart to "see what the squeaker was."

Denver Zoo
After our weekend in GJ we decided to go to the Denver Zoo for our anniversary. We had an amazing day even though it was all about Granola, as usual.

Hiking Swan Mountain
After running some errands in the county we headed out for a short hike at Swan Mt. There were some nice colors in the Aspens.
