GJ is Hot

Our trip to Junction went well. Granola slept the entire drive, both ways. That helped a lot. It was the first time she experienced 90+ degree weather. It was warm. The wedding was nice and mom looked beautiful in her dress. Grandma Dixie spoiled Granola with lots of fun things, including swim diapers, a baby Einstein DVD, and a super fun activity mat amongst other items. Thanks Grandma. When we left to come home it was 96 degrees and a cool 46 when we arrived.

Dad's Day & Headed West

Father's Day flew by this year, but i can accredit that to my work schedule. Mom was able to spend this special day with her father. She was pleased. Granola and I met Aunt Maggy this Sunday. She is a delight and Granola really seemed to like her. Today we're getting packed up for a wedding in Grand Junction this weekend. Granola is excited to experience extremely warm temperatures, actually she's excited to go swimming again. She had an appointment today and weighed in over 10 lbs. and 23 inches.

Super Fun Friday

Here's a little treat that mom put together. Thanks for taking the time to record such a fun 1st event.

Granola is 6 days away from turning 3 months, she is such an amazing little girl.

Yeah, More Snow & Another 1st

Well, we did get a little more snow, just a trace though. The sun came out again today so we took Granola on a hike at Turquoise Lake. While it was sunny, the wind was up and a bit chilly considering its rolling down from the 2nd highest peak in CO. We kept the hike short and feed her at a nice sunny picnic table.
We then decided to check out the new ALCO store in town. We found what we were looking for and headed out on a mission.
Can you see dad at the shore?
Back at the truck with mom.
1st day at the pool. Her super cute Euro Speedo bottoms from Germany and a top we found today.
In her new floaty with mom.
Granola Enjoying the pool.

Overall Granola did absolutely awesome. She cried for about 3 seconds after going under and when she was ready to get out. She swam around for about 45 minutes and crashed hard shortly thereafter.
Can you spot her toes sticking out? Another special post coming soon!!

Snow???

Well the temps have dipped back in the 50's and there's a chance for snow tomorrow. This is the month of June right? Granola has been great lately, the same super happy baby as always. She went out with mom this week to help out a friend. She was able to meet some new people and be the center of attention which I hear she enjoys. She has been wearing more summer outfits but needing the sleeves so she doesn't freeze(Aunt Nancy). Granola has been more vocal lately with some sounds resembling words.
Summer is coming right?
Scary shades mom found for Granola.
Starting to hold her own bottle.
