Bye July

Granola has been very fussy at night lately, so we switched her into a larger bed. Last night was her first night and she seemed to sleep a lot better. Mom and Dad are both currently dealing with vehicle issues, so we are stuck at home for mom's days off. We are in desperate need to go camping or do something fun soon. Granola wishes her Grandpa Ron a very Happy Birthday!! She would also like to thank her Aunt Nancy for all the comments you leave and she can't wait to meet you, soon.
She's starting to sit up on her own.
Another new hat from dad, its been rainy and chilly lately.

No Blankets Please

Granola has been really funny lately with her blankets. If you put anything over her she will immediately begin kicking it off. Dad will even mess with her and hold the blanket but she is very persistent and eventually kicks it off. She's been playing a lot in her new walker activity center and just today she began pushing buttons with her mouth. I think some of the colors remind her of her pacifiers.
Some new britches

And eating it.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma showed up early Thursday for a quick visit. She hung out with Granola so Mom & Dad could go run some errands, and we basically just were lazy that day other than a short hike at the Turquoise Lake Nature Trail. Dad worked yesterday so the ladies headed down to Summit for some shopping. Grandma spoiled all of us, especially Granola. Thanks again for everything Grandma, we really appreciate it all. Grandma headed out early this morning, so Dad and Granola went for a short drive around the lake.

1000

Granola has been getting so close to rolling over lately, she can now roll from her stomach to back. I imagine any day and she will roll from back to stomach. During our last Dr. visit Granola had her head measured and 60 out 0f 100 baby's her same age have larger heads, so no more fat head comments please, her noggin is average. She is jumping up in percentiles for weight and height. Granola got word that her Grandma Dixie is coming to visit this weekend, so she's expecting to get spoiled(dad too). A minor milestone was reached this week also, we hit 1000 pictures of Granola already. OK there might be 20 or so not of her on that memory card, but we're averaging about 10 pictures a day of her existence.
She's still enjoying the swing.

Her new favorite toy of the week, her giggly uck-a-duck, thanks Rachel.
Such a pleasant little person to be around.
Whenever her duck giggles she's good for a smile.

Finally

So Granola's nighttime O2 levels are in the 95+ Percentile, which means no more machine. We are excited and so is she. Today is still up in the air as far as activities. Dad works but we'll still have daylight once he's home.
Flashback to when O2 was necessary 24-7.

4 Month Check Up

Today Granola got her 4 month immunizations. She did great again, crying for just a quick minute. We have another sleep study this evening to check her O2 levels. We're hoping to finally get rid of that darn machine. The Dr. was still claiming Genius status for Granola based on a survey of questions provided by some Governing body in Denver. She is a quick learner and a very strong baby. She can almost fully roll over now. We will try and update the blog tomorrow as soon as we get the results of her O2 test.
She likes to get sideways in her new toy lately and has been grabbing the fish quite firmly.
Thanks for the new Sucifier G-Pa Ron. These help her feel more Grand Junctionesque.

4 Months

Granola turned 4 months old today. Time sure does fly with little ones around. Not much to report on other than an increase in formula consumption.

Hiking

Today we packed Granola in her super fun hiking backpack(Thanks Esther & Bob) and headed out to the nature trail at Turqoiuse Lake. Granola had a great time and really likes her pack. She has been getting really giggly lately which is super cute and fun to hear. I was able to record some giggles on my cell.

Standing Tall

Granola has been working on standing by herself on the couch. She's a bit wobbly but can hold herself up for short periods. Its pretty amazing since she is almost 4 months old.
Another New Hoody
Bath time with her new disco flashing ducks.
Dad let her hold the bottle and she gave him the finger?
Look at that, all by herself, no photoshop involved. And another new outfit.

Happy 7th of July!!

Dad's work schedule has almost doubled the last couple weeks with the influx of tourists running through town. He didn't ask for these hours but somehow work thought he wanted them. Oh well, this should be the last week. We made it out to the Leadville 4th of July Parade and boy was it spectacular. It lasted about 15 minutes, had no Marching band or music whatsoever and I don't recall seeing any floats. Thats Leadville for ya. We were unable to obtain photographic evidence of this prestigious event because it was over by the time we got the camera out. Granola enjoyed being out that morning though. No fireworks this year, we were too worn out by that time.
We would like to send out a huge congratulations to our friends back in NY, Matt & Heather, who just had a baby girl. Can't wait to meet the new addition. We headed out to Summit County to get some gifts and somehow Granola came home with a lot more than the new baby. Weird.
The last few days we have been noticing a slight change in Granola's eye color. There is a circle of brown coming out from the pupils. Maybe brown or green eyes?

Hand Made Sweater from Grandma K.

Her new travel savior, getting intellectual. Thanks Matt & Heather

Swimming Helps

Granola has been more comfortable on her tummy lately, and I thank her pool time. She can hold her head up high with no troubles. While doing her laps she is constantly holding her head out of the water, making her a very strong baby.

Those sandals are still a bit too big, they stayed on for a minute, maybe.
