Happy Halloween

Granola enjoyed her 1st Halloween, She dressed up like a monkey and got some candy downtown which mom and dad enjoyed. Fairly uneventful day otherwise. Granola got a Fancy Nancy doll in the mail yesterday, thanks Nancy, pictures coming soon.

Granola's excited for her 1st Halloween, getting acquainted with her Jack-o-Lantern. She got a card from Grandma & Grandpa Gibson today and she loved it, thank you.

Catching Up

Granola has been playing a lot lately. She is totally energized all the time it seems.

1st Words?

Granola started saying mom, momma, my mom, ect. a couple days ago. She has continued saying this a lot lately. There have been some random papa's and even a couple close dads mixed in. But its about a 1:100 ratio to moms. Mom is very happy about her first words. We've had some snow and cold temps lately. Winter is upon us.

100th Post

Post number 100!! Imagine how many pictures that equals. Granola has been doing great lately. She has been having random nights/days when she goes to bed anytime between 4pm and 7pm and sleeps in until 7-8 am. She has also been taking longer daytime naps which helps with things getting done around the house. She is finally eating lots of rice and oatmeal mixed in with her fruits and veggies.

And out. She tried so hard to stay awake, after we snapped these shots she woke up and bounced around for another minute before bedtime.

She has been getting really aggressive with her activity center, bending her toys all the way over, we're just waiting for one to go flying or snap back in her face. It all seems very sturdy though.

Winter Already

We awoke to a couple inches of light fluffy snow today. It has been a bit chilly lately, but with some sunshine. Granola has been playing with dad's hoody zippers a lot in the past month. She just started to unzip her own hoody yesterday, pretty cute to watch. She has been using her hands a lot more lately. You can hand her the sucifier now and she will just reach out and grab it from you. Mom has been working on crawling with her and she's getting closer.

7 Months

Granola turned 7 months old yesterday, she's still growing like a weed. We just pulled out a new toy for Granola to play with, thanks Cousin Shasta. It's a bouncer that attaches to the upper door trim, she started bouncing all over and really enjoys her playtime in it.

Over Due Updates

Granola had her 6 month check up and immunizations the past couple weeks. She weighed in at 13 lbs. 6oz. and 25 1/2 inches tall. She did great getting her shots again, just some initial tears. Granola had her first granola yesterday. It took a few feedings but this girl is a eating machine. She has already graduated to her 2nd foods in less two weeks. She had some Pear, Strawberry, Granola yesterday and ate it all. She loves bananas the most. Granola is eating carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, corn, and almost any fruit put in front of her. Its kind of fun not having to deal with the bottle all the time. She has been very mobile in her crib lately, crawling should be just around the corner.
